In 1951 Bill and Vonette Bright founded Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) at the University of California Los Angeles. For within the college ranks they saw the leaders of the future and their unlimited potential to win the world for Jesus Christ. They saw as their purpose the glorification of God by helping to fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit in this generation and beyond, by WINNING, BUILDING, TRAINING, and SENDING college students. The Great Commission as mandates in Matthew 28:18-20 reads...

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age'."

Each campus objective is to develop a Spiritual Movement through the spiritual multiplication process to evangelize the entire campus and to send those multipliers world-wide to multiply wherever they may be. CCC is focused on helping the Church in one particular area of the Great Commission mandate, that of global evangelization - giving each one of the 6.5 billion people who inhabit the earth a chance to say YES! to Jesus Christ. This ministry is not meant to be a substitute for the Church and never will be. CCC is committed to spiritual multiplication through ongoing training, discipleship and prayer.
